| Information Communications Technology
Information and communication technology (ICT) capability is an essential skill for life and enables children to participate in a rapidly changing world. Each year, the children, build on their previous learning by looking at four key aspects of ICT: finding things out; developing and making things happen; exchanging and sharing information; reviewing, modifying and evaluating work as it progresses. Children develop these aspects as they work with a range of information, explore a variety of ICT tools, and investigate and compare different uses of ICT. Within school, the children have the opportunity to access a recently refurbished ICT suite as well as laptops, across the curriculum, to explore a range of software packages and the internet. More recently the children have been given access to Radiowaves, an internet forum, which allows them to share their work with friends, family and other schools. Additionally, they have access to digital cameras, control devices and video cameras.

'The Great Wave' created using an ICT paint package called Revelation Art.
In the Foundation stage ICT plays a key role in all areas of their development, reflecting upon their life experiences. It’s essential for our children to learn about technology and its role in the world in which we live. The children have access to a variety of resources such as digital cameras, laptops, tills, CD players and many more.
