HSA

Home-School Association

The school has an active and supportive H.S.A., which encourages involvement from as many parents and carers of the children as possible. Function and events are held throughout the year for the enjoyment of both children and parents and money is frequently raised through these events. The AGM is held early in the autumn term and new officers are appointed to the H.S.A. Committee at this time.

H.S.A. Committee meetings are held at school approximately each half term. Parents are kept informed of events and asked for their support through regular bulletins.

Autum Term Events

We are hoping to raise around £3000 so that the sound system in the school hall can be replaced in time for all the Christmas productions. Many parents and families will know how much time and work the children and staff put into these productions and how magical it is to sit in the hall and share in the children’s talents and achievements.

We would like to provide all the children with a sound system that truly enhances their efforts. We have several events planned this term to help us reach our £3000 target and would ask that you support us when you can.

H.S.A. News

Thanks to anyone who sent an unwanted Christmas gift into school for our 'Gift Anmesty'. We will put them all to good use in our fund raising efforts over the coming months. We have 3 events planned for this term. There will be another disco for the junior children on Friday 26th February (Y3/Y4 from 5.15 to 6.45pm and Y5/Y6 from7.00 to 8.30pm). Easter Bingo will be on Friday 19th March 7pm - 9pm and we will be running another Easter Fun Day on Saturday 27th March from 9.30 - 12noon. More details of these events nearer the time. The next H.S.A. meeting will be Wednesday 3rd February at 7.30pm in school. Everyone is welcome. Many thanks

Trish Farnell (Chair)

H.S.A. News

Thanks to the parents and grandparent who have offered to help at the discos this evening. Please make sure that all the children bring a signed permission slip with them tonight and that they are collected from school by an adult. When dropping children off or collecting them from the disco, please be considerate to the people living close to school and do not park over driveways. We want to be able to run events in the evening without causing complaints from residents. Many thanks Trish Farnell.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB PAYMENTS The after school club team have asked for any payments to be given directly to them when collecting your child rather than passing them via the teacher or the school office. Thank you for your co-operation.

BIKE IT VIRTUAL ‘BIKE RACE.’ Our bike race has begun and we are making great progress along the route but we need more children and adults to cycle to school so we can get further. At the moment we are about 100th out of 300 so if we can improve on our position it would be great. We may even get to the front! There are wonderful prizes for the winning school so we need to really try!

ADVENT GIVING During the season of Advent our children were given Mission Club boxes to collect pennies for Catholic overseas missions. We were once again delighted with the response. In total, our children raised £378 to help less fortunate children in Nigeria. Thank you for your continued support and generosity with our fundraising.
