Summer uniform should be worn between Easter and October dependant upon seasonal variations of temperature. From the Whit holiday to the end of the summer term summer uniform is compulsory.

Training shoes are not allowed as footwear in school. All shoes should be black, although plain white girls’ sandals will be acceptable from Whit to Summer. Girls’ footwear must not have high-heels as this can cause health & safety problems in school. Hair ribbons etc., in uniform colours – pale blue, navy, white gingham or stripe. Small size legionnaire caps are available from school to reduce the risk of sunburn. Watches may be worn and earrings must be of the stud variety – no other jewellery is allowed. All items of clothing must be clearly marked with the child’s name. The following items bearing the school logo can be obtained from school:

Infant book bags, Junior rucksacks, P.E. bags, small size Legionnaire caps and ties.

Lunch boxes must be used for packed lunches, and sports bags are not allowed in school. A drawstring bag is the most convenient method of storing P.E. kits in school – this also should be named.

Due to continuous problems with head lice it is advisable that girls wear long hair in plaits, braids, bunches or pony tails to reduce the incidence of infestation. We recommend regular checks and treatment for head lice.

BIKE IT VIRTUAL ‘BIKE RACE.’ Our bike race has begun and we are making great progress along the route but we need more children and adults to cycle to school so we can get further. At the moment we are about 100th out of 300 so if we can improve on our position it would be great. We may even get to the front! There are wonderful prizes for the winning school so we need to really try!

ADVENT GIVING During the season of Advent our children were given Mission Club boxes to collect pennies for Catholic overseas missions. We were once again delighted with the response. In total, our children raised £378 to help less fortunate children in Nigeria. Thank you for your continued support and generosity with our fundraising.
