Dear Parents and Carers

It is with regret that I am writing to you to inform you that our Headteacher, Maureen Hillsdon, has decided to retire at the end of this academic year.

After 19 years at Our Lady of Lourdes, with 12 as Headteacher, she has decided that her family deserve her undivided attention.

The Governors completely support her decision and understand her reasons. We hope that you will join us in wishing her well and, in due course, will join us to say a well-earned farewell. We thank her for all that she has achieved throughout her long career at Our Lady of Lourdes.

Maureen herself appreciates that this gives OLOL an amazing opportunity to appoint a successor with the enthusiasm and determination needed to take the School forward into another decade and to build on her legacy.

The recent OFSTED Inspection in June last year recognised that the school is in a very good position and we will shortly begin the process to appoint a suitable Headteacher to start in September 2020.

With best wishes

Carole Baker
